Individual and Business Performance Management Systems Help George F. Cook Construction Support Company's Business Goals

Client:  George F. Cook Construction Company has been a commercial and industrial general contractor and trade contractor for more than 115 years.  The firm specializes in building rehab and reuse, remodeling, HVAC systems, and architectural millwork. The company built many landmarks in the historic architectural district of Minneapolis near Loring Park, including St. Marks Episcopal Church, Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church and Dunwoody Institute.  Customers include private and public entities:  churches, cities, counties, manufacturers, school districts, state agencies and public utilities.

Project:  Assist the company’s senior leadership in developing a comprehensive system for business development and individual management.

Our Part:  Identify key strategies to help the company achieve its business revenue and profit goals.  Identify employee and leadership competencies required to support the company’s business goals.

Value:

“Wendy’s a good coach.  She was genuinely interested in our improvement and approached this project very enthusiastically. Now we have a framework to discuss processes - who does what and how it should be done.  As new people are brought on board, it is a lot easier to explain what our expectations are and how that fits into the overall organization,” George Cook III said.
